This blend of reggaeton and pop music not only brought attention back to the music genre but also Latin music all over the world. The Billboard Top 100 had four songs during 2016, which was compared with two in 2015. At the peak of Despacito's chart-topping success in 2017, 19 songs mainly composed in Spanish hit into the Top 100. It climbed to 41 in 2020. Justin Bieber's remix in two languages Despacito was released in the year. In the following year, a number of popular artists started collaborating with reggaeton artists. Drake collaborated with Bad Bunny in the project MIA MIA (2018), and Madonna worked with Maluma in Medellin. Certain reggaeton performers expressed their displeasure at the rise of popular music by 2020. A new band, Rauw alejandro, was seeking to make a change. The genre often incorporated elements of other genres and electronic dance.
