Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington, a Greek American businesswoman and syndicated journalist, is also an author. She has written fifteen books, and she is co-founder the magazine The Huffington Post. Arianna Huffington is a writer, television personality, philanthropist as well as the owner and publisher of The Huffington Post. Her birthplace was Greece she moved to England when she was 16 and completed her studies at Cambridge University with an MA in Economics. As the first non-English speaking student, she was elected president of The Cambridge Union' at the age of 21. Being a conservative syndicated blog following her graduation, she became a voice of the Huffington Post. Her fame helped to attract several prominent contributors to share their thoughts on news, politics and culture. Arianna was famous when she made the decision in 2003 to run as an Independent Candidate in the California Recall Election in order to succeed former Governor Davis. She was also involved in a Detroit-based project that promoted fuel-efficient automobiles. She was named The Most Popular Women in Media in 2009 by Forbes in 2009, gaining the 12th place in this list. That same year Guardian named her on the Top 100 Media List. AOL, Inc. named her president of their media company in 2011, after they bought The Huffington Post. The Huffington Post also included the other AOL brands such as Engadget AOLmusic Style list and Patch Media. Elli Stasinopoulos was a daughter born to Konstantinos an advisor to management and journalist. While she was close to her father, her connection to her mom was the defining factor in the remainder of her life. At a young age she showed the qualities of a leader and is a household name. She moved to England at 16 to continue her education and was enrolled into Girton College Cambridge. In her college years she joined Cambridge Union. Cambridge Union debating group where she rose to become the first female president and only president from outside the country. She graduated in 1972 with an MA in Economics. She was a journalist television host, and a columnist after her graduation. She was a guest on Bernard Levin on an edition Face the music, and she started writing the books she wrote with Bernard Levin's aid.
